This quarter Team 604 Social Studies classes will be emersed in the
Student Code of Conduct, the Eight Character Traits, Pinwheels for Peace,
Celebrate Freedom Week, Hispanic Heritage Month, and Countdown to Election
2008.
We will be collaborating with Ms. Shasek's Reading classes on
Anti-Bullying and will be working on civic and community responsibilities.
Please visit this page often so that you can see what is going on in your
child's school activities. I will post links which you can go to in
order to assist your student with his/her work.

World Peace Day - September 21, 2008
Pinwheels for Peace
Team 604 students studied about World Peace Day. The students created and
designed pinwheels, writing poetry and prose on them as well. The
pinwheels were displayed on the fence in front of Sawgrass Springs Middle

Election 2008
Kids Voting Broward
Team 604 students will be voting online Tuesday, October 21, 2008, to
decide which candidate they would prefer to have in the White House. The
entire student body at Sawgrass Springs Middle School will be voting and
we should have the results by the first week in November. Click on the
